Pumpkin Floral Arrangement

Want to get a little crafty and creative this season? This is such a fun and easy project, and it makes the perfect gift for a hostess, teacher, friend, or even yourself! It’s a beautiful way to bring a little fall charm into your home for both Halloween and Thanksgiving.

To get started, you’ll need a pumpkin with a stem, flowers and fillers of your choice (I picked mine up at Trader Joe’s and gathered a few things from my own garden), and some floral foam.

One little tip: I highly recommend using a lazy Susan! It makes arranging your flowers so much easier, allowing you to turn your pumpkin as you work without having to move the entire arrangement.

Start by creating a hole in the floral foam large enough for the pumpkin stem to fit through. Trim away any excess foam that hangs over the edges of the pumpkin so everything fits nicely.

NOTE: I wet the floral foam before inserting the flowers.

Unfortunately, I neglected to take any photos or videos of the actual arranging process (oops!), but don’t let that stop you! With a little skill and a lot of creativity, you can create a beautiful pumpkin bouquet.

I started at the top and worked my way down, cutting the flower stems to size as I went. In hindsight, though, I think starting at the bottom and working my way up would have been easier. Oh well, live and learn!

I made this arrangement for a friend who was hosting a pumpkin carving contest, and it was a hit!
